Want to play in the MUD? Come take pottery classes and MORE from Mary Zlotnick, owner of THE MUD SHACK. THE MUD SHACK is located at 153 Regent Street, conveniently near downtown Saratoga Springs.
2008 WINTER KID'S SCHEDULE - Ongoing six week classes.
KID'S ART/CLAY WORKSHOPS: (ages 7 and older). Class size is on a first come, first serve basis. Course fees include all materials. EACH CLASS meets once a week on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesdays from 4:15 to 5:45pm.
Unleash your child's creativity. In these classes, your child will learn the basics of "throwing" on the pottery wheel and handbuilding with clay and will learn the forgotten art of being truly creative. Cost is $100 and includes all materials.
MAKE MONDAYS A MUD NIGHT (or Wednesdays)
Gather your friends and on Mondays or Wednesdays from 6-8pm, come try "throwing on the pottery wheel". Don't want to get dirty--paint a mug instead. $20 per person, bring a friend and get $5 off. If you like it, you can then join a six week class.
Cost is $20 per person for each class, plus clay ($7.50 for 1/2 bag). Or sign up for a six week session and total price is $120 (includes 1/2 bag of clay).
FREE FAMILY ART WORKSHOPS
The Frederick Allen Lodge located at 69 Beekman Street with Mary Zlotnick will be hosting a series of FREE Family Art Workshops called Honor our Heritage, Our Neighbors, and Ourselves through Art. These family friendly workshops are being funded in part by the Decentralized Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by the Saratoga County Arts Council.
